Case study · AI character

Meet Sterling.

A designed AI character, built once and used everywhere: ads, podcast, short form. Same face in every frame. That consistency is the whole point.

The idea

A face your brand owns.

AI content fails when the character drifts. The face in one video is not the face in the next, so nothing feels like a brand. Sterling is the fix: one design, locked, rendered consistently in every format.

He is not a real person. No availability, no rebooking, no likeness rights to clear. The brand keeps him forever, and he shows up for every recording.

The consistency sheet

One session, one face.

A full pose and expression sheet generated in a single session. Same man in every frame: the eyes, the jaw, the suit. This is what makes him usable as a brand asset.

The vertical spot

Protein shake podcast spot.

The same pipeline flipped to 9:16. Two characters in one podcast set, one product, four lines. No storyboard this time: the sheets and the set were locked, then the beats went straight to render.

  • Ten seconds changes the shot list. No tour, no build. The product sits between them for the whole spot and the dialogue carries it.
  • The question does the selling. “Wait, is it chalky though?” is the objection every protein shake has to answer, so it gets asked on camera instead of dodged.
  • Built without a board. The sheets locked both faces and the set was approved before the first clip, then the lines went straight to render.
  • Cast from the same drawer. Sterling leads again opposite a new host, Alexander, so the character library does the casting work.

0:00–0:03.4“This shake is a total game changer. Twenty grams of pure protein.”
0:03.8–0:04.9“Wait, is it chalky though?”

Beat 2 · 0:05–0:10

0:05.2–0:06.7“Not at all. It’s super smooth.”
0:06.9–0:09.4“Okay, I am definitely on board. Cheers to that.”

Deployment

Three jobs, one guy.

Sterling renders into whatever format the campaign needs. These are the lanes he ships in, and the finished samples are on this page.

01Ads

A 15 to 30 second spot.

Product in hand, brand line delivered

Built for Meta and TikTok placement. One script, one take budget that never gets used, because Sterling does not fluff lines.

02Podcast

The host that never misses.

Thumbnail face and episode intro

A podcast brand gets a consistent face for the feed artwork and a host intro that opens every episode the same way.

03Short form

Sixty seconds, captioned.

Talking-head clips from a script

Reels and Shorts built from scripts, cut with captions and a consistent face. Same cadence every clip, which is how feeds grow.

How he was made

Designed once, rendered anywhere.

No studio, no actor, no shoot day. A repeatable pipeline that turns a character idea into a deployable brand asset.

01Design

The character.

Designed in ChatGPT

Sterling was designed as a fully fictional character: age, build, wardrobe, presence. The suit is the signature, chosen because it reads professional in any context.

02Consistency

The sheet.

OpenAI image gen · Google Flow

The 22 frames above came from a single session: the board built from the written profile, the expression set rendered in Google Flow. They lock the identity so every future render answers to the same face, not a fresh guess.

03Scale

The pipeline.

Google Flow · ComfyUI · Premiere

The approved sheet is attached to every generation as the identity reference, so he renders into any scene, in any format, with no studio and no actor. Clips generate in Google Flow, upscale in ComfyUI, and finish in Premiere. Voice is ElevenLabs, or native to the render, one voice per character.
